2010 is NECI's 30th Anniversary, and the Alumni Reunion planned for this summer will be bigger and better than ever!

What will be some of the highlights?

On Sunday afternoon, join all of Montpelier for the Great Vermont Community Picnic on the Statehouse lawn. This event is being sponsored by the Vermont Fresh Network with the assistance of NECI. Along with great barbecue, there will be games and music and lots of time to kick back and have fun!

On Monday we will gather for the 30th Anniversary Alumni Banquet! Great food will be prepared and served by the students and you will get a chance to visit and celebrate being an alum!

Tuesday, we will take off and visit a local food producer. Plans are being made now and details will be available soon.

Make sure you check back often to see what is up, and start making your plans to be in Vermont in August! It's going to be a great time!

Meet the Alumni Association's Newest Board Members


John Cox

The NECI Alumni Association is pleased to welcome two new members to its board:

John Cox (AOS Culinary Arts 2001). He is the Group Chef for Georis Restaurants in Carmel, California. John oversees all culinary operations for a small group of family owned restaurants.





Sue Hoss

Sue Hoss (AOS Culinary 1997) is a Partner with Main Dish Media, LLC, a one-stop shop of food-related content for print, electronic or video distribution. Projects include editorial direction for campbellskitchen.com, the primary website for Campbell's Soup and its partner brands; recipe development and editing for Weber Grill cookbooks; food styling for Kraft Foods/Meredith Integrated Marketing; and, how-to videos for Fleischmann's Yeast USA and Canada.
