If you are interested in pursuing a career in the kitchen of a food service operation, NECI's certificate in basic cooking allows you to begin on a professional path as a prep, line or banquet cook. Our condensed program (15 weeks of residency and a 700-hour paid internship) will give you the foundation to develop your job skills in a highly competitive marketplace. This program is conducted on the Essex campus.
